Sea Pines Resort is a world-class showcase of community planning and recreational amenities on which many other resort and residential communities are modeled.  The Harbour Town Lighthouse with its octagonal shape and red and white stripes is a famous landmark; the PGA Verizon Heritage Classic is televised every spring from the Harbourtown Golf Club and the tournament shows millions of viewers the beauty of Sea Pines.

A Mosaic of Residential and Vacation Neighborhoods

Sea Pines has many neighborhoods.  Some have a busy resort character while others have a quiet, residential character.  Some of these neighborhoods are:

  • Harbour Town comprised mostly of villas with the marina, shops, restaurants, golf and tennis clubs.
  • The Club Course has mostly single family homes and a few villas, the location of the Sea Pines Club clubhouse, tennis courts and Club Course golf club.
  • Lawton Woods, a residential and rental area of mostly patio homes.
  • Calibogue Cay, a neighborhood of homes with deep water and canal docks.
  • Planter’s Woods, a residential area between Harbour Town and the Sea Pines stables.
  • Greenwood Forest, a residential neighborhood in the heart of Sea Pines, near the shopping Sea Pines Center
  • Baynard Cove, named after the Baynard family who owned the land before it was Sea Pines, now a neighborhood of single family homes
